The 1980s made another comeback at this year's fashion weeks, where
make-up artists were instructed to keep eye make-up slightly messy, even
lived in, as if the models had done it themselves. At London’s Falguni
& Shane Peacock show, Academy of
Freelance Make Up Pro Team artist Rachel Wood used that
not-too-perfect, '80s Vogue-style
colored eye shadow to complement the embellished '80s-style clothing.
Korres was the show's
cosmetics sponsor: AOFM Pro Team members applied the company's
Long-Lasting Eyeliner Pencils in Blue, Blue Petrol and Blue Black on the
models' lids, topped with Shimmering Eye Shadow in Sky Blue. The team
also used a Soft Eyeliner Pencil in Black under the eye, smudging it to
the outer corners. A Shimmering Eye Shadow in Golden Brown was applied
to the inner eye and a dab of M.A.C. pigment in Golden Lemon gave a
finishing shine to the inner corners, creating a peacock effect. Korres
Lash-Strengthening Mascara in Blue-Black was left thick and slightly
clumpy on the lashes.
Skin was kept simple and clean, with just a
dab of the Korres blush in Natural and Cherry Oil Lip Gloss in Nude to
complement the eyes without overwhelming them.

Web Exclusive: Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Young Hellboy - Monday August 04, 2008 |
| From a make-up perspective, the first major character to appear in Hellboy 2 is
a younger version of the hero, seen in a 1955 prologue with Professor
Broom (John Hurt). The Young Hellboy character was created by the
Barcelona-based company DDT Efectos Especiales and played in a
gender-bending twist by the company’s Montse Ribé. |
