The Beauty Bus Foundation and nail-care company OPI are throwing a fundraising bash 11:30 a.m. April 25 at The Mark for Events (9320 West Pico Blvd.) in Los Angeles. The Beauty Drive will feature beauty treatments, a hair show and auction and will benefit the foundation, a non-profit that provides free in-home beauty and grooming services to home-bound, chronically or terminally ill people and their primary caregivers. The Los Angeles-based foundation works with volunteer make-up artists and hairstylists to provide services to clients with cancer, Lou Gehrig’s disease, muscular dystrophy and more. For more information about the event, or how to volunteer with the organization, go to www.beautybus.org.

Web Exclusive: Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Young Hellboy
From a make-up perspective, the first major character to appear in Hellboy 2 is a younger version of the hero, seen in a 1955 prologue with Professor Broom (John Hurt). The Young Hellboy character was created by the Barcelona-based company DDT Efectos Especiales and played in a gender-bending twist by the company’s Montse Ribé.
