The World Bodypainting Festival 2010 was held in Seeboden, Austria July 12-18. The event, sponsored by cosmetics company Kryolan, attracted approximately 28,000 visitors with a mix of classes, lectures, parties, performances and body-painting competitions. Here are the top three finalists in each competition category:

World Award: Special Effects Bodypainting

World Award: Facepainting

From a make-up perspective, the first major character to appear in Hellboy 2 is a younger version of the hero, seen in a 1955 prologue with Professor Broom (John Hurt). The Young Hellboy character was created by the Barcelona-based company DDT Efectos Especiales and played in a gender-bending twist by the company’s Montse Ribé.
