| School Description |
From the school:
Cinema Makeup School teaches beauty for all situations, from fashion to film, HD to theatrical, with airbrushing and hairstyling techniques. Our character program gives students experience creating realistic make-up on set. Cutting edge effects classes give students experience working with silicone, gelatin and foam latex appliances, teeth, blood cannon and tubing work, advanced moldmaking, and multi-piece appliance creation/application. Our unique creature maquette sculpture class and Photoshop digital effects make-up set CMS apart.
There is a professional photo session with prints and cd at no additional cost, as well as daily digital photography in CMS’ professional photo studios. Loans are available for United States and United Kingdom students, and I-20 forms for international student visas.
CMS is staffed by working professional make-up artists who have years of experience, including our Director of Education Leonard Engelman, Governor of the Makeup Artist and Hairstylist Branch for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Leonard hand picks all of CMS' professional make-up artist instructors.
There's a job board in the lobby to find local make-up jobs, and graduates receive daily e-mails regarding work from all over the world. Students can audit classes after graduation and attend seminars and have access to school facilities and equipment, all included.
